Kathy's Call Statements of Faith

When working with any Christian Organization its important to review their statements of faith. Here's mine:

Statement of Faith

God

There is one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is loving, holy, patient, powerful, and

remarkably good at handling things we absolutely can't. God is not surprised by your story,

your past, or your prayers that start with “I don’t even know what to say.”


Matthew 28:19 — “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”


Jesus Christ

Jesus is fully God and fully man. He entered human suffering on purpose, walked it perfectly,

and defeated sin, death, and shame once and for all. He is not intimidated by

brokenness—He specializes in redeeming it.


John 1:1,14 — “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”


The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is active, present, and deeply involved in the healing process. He comforts,

convicts, teaches, and gently reminds us that God is still at work—even when progress feels

slow.


Romans 15:13 — “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”


The Bible

The Bible is God-breathed truth. It is not outdated, irrelevant, or optional. It speaks into real

life, real pain, and real questions—and it still speaks truth.


Hebrews 4:12 — “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”


Salvation

Salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ. You cannot earn it, perform for it, or

clean yourself up enough to deserve it—thankfully. We access our salvation by declaring Jesus is Lord and living our lives as proof of that truth.


Romans 10:9-10 — “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”


Healing & Restoration

God heals hearts, minds, and lives. Healing is often a process, not a moment—and God is patient, faithful, and kind along the way.


Jeremiah 30:17 — “For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord.”


Prayer

Prayer is powerful, necessary, and welcome even when it sounds messy. God is not grading

your prayers—He’s listening. All power is available to us in prayer. Power to heal our hearts, families, communities, and the world.


Ephesians 3:20, 1:19b-21 — “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us…That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.”


The Church

The Church is the body of Christ—imperfect people serving a perfect God. Jesus intended His church to be united and pure. Something we continue to work towards.


Ephesians 1:22-23 — “And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.”


Value of Life

Every person is created in the image of God and deeply loved. Brokenness does not cancel

worth. Pain does not erase purpose. This worth was determined before creation and must be protected from conception to natural death.


Psalm 139:13-16 — “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”


Our Calling

Following Jesus is a daily journey of surrender, growth, repentance, and grace. Progress

matters more than perfection. We find our calling in Jesus not our own desires. When we walk in this calling we find joy, purpose, fulfillment, and passion.


Isaiah 1:17 — “Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow. ”

Ephesians 2:10 — “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”


The Battle

Our struggle is not against people, but against Satan and His demons and powers that work in darkness and deception. This means the person in front of us is never the enemy—even when the situation feels heavy or painful. The real battle often takes place quietly in the heart and mind, where truth can feel harder to hold onto. We do not fight with fear or blame, but with prayer, truth, and confidence that God is already at work.


Ephesians 6:12— “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."


The Enemy

Satan is the father of lies, and it is through those lies that he keeps people trapped in shame, fear, and the pain of the past. His aim is often not to create new wounds, but to keep old ones from healing by distorting the truth about God and about us. Healing begins when God’s truth is brought into places where lies have lived too long.


John 8:44b— “He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.


Our Armor

God does not leave us unprotected. He clothes us in truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and His Word. This armor is not about striving, but about remembering who God is and who we belong to. Prayer keeps us grounded and steady, helping us stand firm even when circumstances feel unsteady.


Ephesians 6:11— “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes."


This Statement of Faith reflects not just what I believe, but how I live and serve.
